It is important to have a good internet connection to use your Lingueo client space and Microsoft Teams.

Test your Internet browsing here: https://www.speedtest.net/

Understand your results:

To check the speed and performance of your internet connection, simply perform a speed test. Also called "speedtest" or "bandwidth test", the internet speed test measures the speed of your connection by simulating the transfer of a file between your box and a server. The result of a speed test includes 3 important values:

the download speed in Mbps: this is the speed at which you receive files between the internet and your home
the upload speed in Mbps: this is the speed at which you send files between your home and the internet
the latency (ping): it is the response time of the server
A ping lower than 60ms indicates a very good connection speed.

If you test your Wi-Fi speed, you will only know the capacity of your wireless connection.

Finally, to know the real potential of your Internet connection, it will be necessary, at the time of the test, that no other device consumes bandwidth. Downloading, Internet TV or streaming in progress will inevitably have an impact on the speed measured at a given moment, and the test will only indicate the remaining available speed.

Some figures to understand

Let's imagine some uses and put some numbers in front of them to try to understand better.
We assume that a photo weighs 3 MB and that a movie weighs 700 MB.
Let's remember that one MB per second corresponds to 8 mbps.

1st case__
I live far from my internet distributor, in the countryside without fiber, I have 8 mbps in download and 1 mbps in upload.

My upload speed of 1mbps corresponds to 0.125 Mb per second
It takes me 24 seconds to upload a single picture, 10 minutes for 25 pictures.
My downstream rate of 8 mbps corresponds to 1 Mb/s
It takes me 700 seconds or 12 minutes to download a movie in standard quality if nothing else uses my bandwidth.

2nd case
I live in the countryside, not connected to a fiber optic cable, I have a download speed of 80 mbps and an upload speed of 20 mbps.

My upload speed of 20 mbps corresponds to 2.5 Mb/s
It takes me 1.2 seconds to upload a picture, 30 seconds for 25 pictures.
My downstream speed of 80 mbps corresponds to 10 Mo/s
I need 70 seconds to download a movie in standard definition.

3rd case
I live in a fiber zone, I chose a fiber with a downstream speed of 1 Gbits and an upstream speed of 300 mbps.

My upload speed of 300 mbps corresponds to 37.5 Mb/s
It takes me 0.08 seconds to upload a picture, 2 seconds for 25 pictures.
My downstream flow of 1 Gbps corresponds to 125 Mb/s
It takes me 5.6 seconds to download a movie in standard quality.
